Seamlessly integrated with Oracle PLM Cloud, the BOM Manager ensures that the change orders with correct updates can be created to make mass changes in Item structures.

How does the BOM Manager work?

After the desired item is chosen In Oracle PD,  the BOM Manager is triggered by using the Actions Menu.

There are 4 options in the BOM Manager:

Bulk Addition:

  • There are 2 ways to make bulk additions;  Manually or by using the Where Used option.
    • In the case of Manual, search for items where you would like to add the chosen item to the BOM
    •  In the case of Where Used, search for a child item. By choosing the child item, your chosen item will be added to the BOM of all parents where the child item has been used
  • Now the user can fill in the required quantity of the item
  • Once the quantity is added, a change order, with the required details, is created to add the chosen item in the respective BOMs
  • The user can then review the change order and complete the workflow to ensure the addition of the chosen item

Bulk Replace:

  • The user can then review the change order and complete workflow to ensure the replacement
